London Triathlon - 02/08/2009

So, it was down to London for my attempt at the Olympic distance triathlon of 1,500m swim, 40k bike and 10k run. I'd been given an early start time on Sunday, 8.30am, so i travelled down on Saturday staying over in Beckton just down the road from the Excel centre.

Moonraker 10k - 26/07/2009

I took part in the Moonraker 10k on Sunday a race organised by the Middleton Harriers Running Club. It was a cold miserable day, just the sort of day i like to run on. The course was 70% road and 30% on muddy tracks, not quite Hellrunner standard but muddy all the same. Bananaman Triathlon, Dorney Lake, Eton - 12/07/2009

I was the only member of IronABS making the trip down to Dorney Lake for the 800m swim, 30.6k bike ride & 7.5k run triathlon yesterday. When i entered it, a few months ago, i thought i'd need accomodation for the weekend as i was expecting an early start on the Sunday so i booked a hotel. The week before the race the wave times were released and my wave (35-39) was last one out at 14.30!! Even though you may have just heard about us IronABS have been competing in events all year.
